Centennial Smiles Dental offers teeth bonding within Calgary. They say that people who wear a smile on their face all the time are the most beautiful people. However, many of our smiles are marred by several dental problems such as decayed teeth, chipped and cracked teeth, discolored teeth, gaps between teeth, oddly shaped teeth, and many others. Now you can get your winning smiles back with teeth bonding.

Teeth bonding is a simple procedure that does not require much advance planning or anaesthesia, unless the bonding is used to fill a decayed tooth and other serious problems. During the bonding process, your dentist will select a composite resin that matches your tooth colour. A conditioning liquid will be applied to your teeth after the surface of your teeth is roughened. This allows the bonding substance to stick to your teeth.

After this, the resin material is carefully applied, molded, and smoothed to the desired shape. During the final step, your dentist will trim, shape, and polish this bonded material to match the gloss of the rest of your teeth.

Advantages of Dental Bonding

There are many advantages of dental bonding. It is one of the least expensive and least invasive dental procedures. Compared to veneers and crowns, dental bonding is a procedure where the least amount of enamel is removed.

After you have been through the complete procedure, Dr. T. Rhemtulla advises aftercare, such as following good oral hygiene practices. Avoid habits such as biting your fingernails and chewing on pens, ice, and other hard food as it may damage the bonding material. If you find that your bite down feels odd, go and see your dentist as soon as you can.
