How does it Work?

You've likely heard of some of these products already. One of our favourites is Invisalign which involves wearing a set of transparent plastic trays that are virtually invisible. The plastic is smooth, designed for comfort, and each aligner is custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly. As your treatment progresses, the trays will slowly and gently move your teeth into their new positions, with no metal wires or brackets involved. Instead, your orthodontist or dentist will supply you with a new set of trays every two weeks until your treatment is completed.

Better than Braces?

Invisalign can be used to correct a wide variety of dental ailments, ranging from mildly crooked teeth to a full overbite correction. In most cases, it can be used instead of metal braces, which saves you the pain and discomfort. Furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, Invisalign allows you to enjoy all your favourite foods that regular braces wouldn't allow for, including popcorn, nuts, and candies (although we still wouldn't recommend eating these foods on a regular basis!) Invisalign eliminates the difficulty what comes with brushing and flossing with braces, meaning teeth stay cleaner and healthier throughout your treatment period.

The main advantage of Invisalign is the ability to remove the aligners. This allows patients to eat, drink, and clean their teeth easily. You won’t need to deal with any food restrictions nor the tiresome minutes it takes to clean out a set of metal braces! And the benefits of daily life with Invisalign go beyond food and oral hygiene. Those who have had braces previously can tell you all about the fear of the metal wires cutting into your mouth. Invisalign, being plastic, eliminates this hazard as well, meaning you can go about your business without fear of having your mouth stabbed. Braces can also complicate playing certain instruments, such as trumpet, but invisalign should pose no such difficulties.
